At Adirondack Extreme we have five large courses within our adult course, each containing a mixture of approximately 10-17 different obstacles. The obstacles range from zip-lines, Tarzan swings, swinging surprises, hanging nets, wobbly bridges and much more.
The skill level and height of each course is marked using a color coded system indicating the challenge based on elevation and difficulty. All five courses can be completed in approximately three to four hours.
On The Adult Course
After a brief 30 minute training session, you begin on the GREEN course known as "Discovery" where you get comfortable with the equipment and the rhythm of moving through each element. After defeating the green course you will move on to the BLUE course known as "Sensation". Suddenly childhood memories of swinging on ropes and climbing trees comes back to you. Your agility and sense of freedom return and away you go!
Next up the SILVER course also known as "Adrenaline" comprises of 17 elements including a beautiful 350 foot zip line over Alder brook. Are you motivated yet? If not, next in line is our PINK course also known as "Motivation", this course takes you off the grid and motivates you through a variety of wobbly obstacles which gets you prepared for the final adult course.
The RED course also known as "Emotion". Climbing higher into the trees, try not to let your emotions get the best of you. Balance comes into play when crossing wobbly bridges and swinging surprises. You’re feeling confident, you have defeated the first FIVE courses and can't help laughing out loud as you zip through the forest or watch your friends try to walk gracefully across moving obstacles.
The finish to your adventure arrives at our two giant zip lines. Relax, sit back and enjoy the ride. As your journey ends at Adirondack Extreme you leave with a smile, a sense of achievement and memories that live on.
The courses are meant to be used progressively and the cost of admission covers one loop or rotation through all five Adult courses. At any exit point along the courses, you can descend. Walking paths will take you back to the guest services and welcome center.
